The Rooms Division manager is responsable for the front office, housekeeping and guest relations.
During the internship you will assist the RDM in these departments.
Most of the time you will be spending at the front office where you have following tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparing arrivals/departures and selling rooms
- Handling the telephone
- Settle payments
- Preparing night-audit tasks
- Safety and security checks of the hotel
- Follow procedures, like lost & found
- Using Opera system
Guest Relations:
- Provide (tourist) information to the guests
- Knowledge about festivals and things to do
- Provide information about restaurants and bars
- Book excursions
Housekeeping/maintenance:
- Checking cleanliness and / or technical aspects of the rooms
- Minibar fill up and stock control
Requirements for the internship:
- Knowledge of English and French or Dutch language
- Minimum period of 5 months
- Passion for the hospitality industry
